About Us

John Roebuck Auctions is a professional real estate auction firm that has been conducting auctions throughout the United States for over 40 years. Our marketing and sales team is a diverse mix of industry professionals with extensive experience in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, development land and farm sales, marketing and advertising and e-commerce strategies. We aggressively market and sell real estate utilizing the latest techniques and technologies. Both buyers and sellers routinely compliment the innovative processes we use to ensure a successful auction. Our approach boils down to one simple concept: What is the best mechanism that can be put in place to gain the maximum recovery for our client? John Roebuck’s connection to the National Auctioneers Association, including serving as a past President and Chairman has given him the added benefit of a solid network worldwide. This along with innovative strategies, an award-winning team and hard work has resulted in over 3 billion in sales to date including 2 million acres of land (farm, recreation, timber).

Our History

Our founder, John Roebuck, joined River City Auction in 1973 as an auctioneer and later bought the company. From the early furniture, fixtures and equipment sales for the Community Bank of Germantown and Western Auto stores, Roebuck has diligently built this company to nationwide status. A native Mid-Southerner, Roebuck introduced the concept of selling real estate at auction to the region and with ties nationwide he is prepared to sell property wherever there’s a need.

Our Charity Work

Most charitable causes and civic organizations hold at least one event a year where they work to raise money through silent and live auctions. Many of these causes regularly use a professional auctioneer to entertain the bidders and ultimately raise more money. Like other auctioneers, the professionals at John Roebuck Auctions regularly volunteer their talents to many of these organizations. But unlike many others, we take it one step further. Depending on the size of the room or the amount of people expected at the event, John Roebuck Auctions will bring a complete auction team that includes the auctioneer, professional ringmen and bid spotters. We want to help ensure that your event is a major success.

While president of the NAA, John Roebuck established St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as the organization’s principal charity nationwide. John’s claim to fame is that he and Tiger Woods raised 1 million dollars in one night for the Tiger Woods Foundation which included auctioning a round of golf with Tiger for $95,000 that was bought by actress Angela Lansbury.

John’s personal goal is to raise over 20 million for worthwhile causes. He is now at $18 million and he invites all to help him reach his goal. Some of the charities he has helped raise funds for include:

  • Jerry’s Kids
  • March of Dimes
  • Make-A-Wish
  • St. Jude/Liberty Bowl
  • Boys/Girls Clubs
  • Girl Scouts of America
  • American Heart Association
  • World Cataract Foundation
  • Stephen Bratkowski Memorial Foundation
