On October 10, John Roebuck & Jeff Morris of Roebuck Auctions delivered a special gift of $129,007 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This total represented the record amount raised through the efforts of sponsors of the 2006 AutoZone Liberty Bowl Golf Classic. As always, Roebuck Auctions took a lead role in the coordination and sponsorship of this annual event.

At a luncheon held at St. Jude, Roebuck, president of Roebuck Auctions, along with Lisa Kranc, senior vice president of marketing for AutoZone, presented the check. These funds will assist in the ongoing mission of the hospital, curing childhood cancer and other catastrophic illnesses.

Palmer Griffin, a 16-year-old patient at St. Jude, spoke before the luncheon. She told everyone how much it meant to her to be able to get treatment at this world-class research center located in Memphis, Tennessee.

“St. Jude is like Disneyworld for Cancer,” she said.
